Our society is becoming less and less aware of boundaries between disciplines. We see more and more research into the connection between science, technology, nature and art. And that makes sense, because today’s difficult issues (just think of climate change) are becoming increasingly complex. Fortunately, we also see that schools and other social institutions are making cautious moves towards cooperation, connection and (cultural) integration.

Due to his broad interests and open attitude, the (art) subject teacher is often the best person to do something with this in the classroom or for a group. That is why FluXus wants to make subject teachers ‘future-proof’ with this process. A professional teacher who knows how to deal with difficult global issues (‘wicked problems’) and can shape, connect and integrate them from different perspectives together with the students.

This training enables subject teachers to offer meaningful education, in lessons, workshops or to play an advisory role. So a subject teacher 2.0.
